My 08 GSA1200 is cutting out when I close the throttle about 1 out of 10 times I close the throttle with the clutch out, so I'm then free wheeling.

Other times I see the rev counter drop to 500rpm and catch itself before ticking over at 1100 rpm.

I will of course be taking it back to the dealer to investigate, but has any one else found this happening.

Its potentially dangerous when entering a bend because as I close the throttle it cuts out, therefore no power to drive through bend.

:(

I have an 08 gsa
Mine did this once or twice.
On its first service they did a download recall on the ecu
This seems to have cured the problem. It was a bmw recall.
When you go to the dealer ask them about the software upgrade

Picked up my 08 GSA last thursday, 550 miles so far and although it hasnt cut out yet, it feels like it wants to. Thought it was just my imagination!
Its in for its 600 service on friday so will ask about ecu upgrade then.

My 08 GSA was doing this and I got a software update about six weeks ago while rear LEDs were being done on a recall.

It seemed to cure the problem although it stalled twice on me earlier this week so I hope it's not back again.

My 07 and 04 versions both did it to some degree. Normally when you 'blip' the throttle off idle, but not just on a closed throttle. Does sound dangerous - trip to the dealer required.
