hi guys have recently purchased new 800 gs. have noticed that after cruising for a while on constant throttle the minute i close the throttle it dies. but fires right up again no problem.like at road ends etc.
bike has only 600 mile on it and going for first service next week. just wondered if this is common and if its something that would be adjusted at first service. i know early models had this problem but would have thought a 2012 model would have bang up to date fuel maps in it.

It's not right. It could be dodgy fuel, or something that needs looking at. Run your bike right down to zero, fill her up and see how it goes. If you're taking her back to the dealer, then you may as well run her in first. That's assuming that she runs ok otherwise.

Mention it to the dealer when you go for the service, it should show up on a road test.
