Cylinder head guards - 1250 GSA

Did you remove the engine crash bars or just loosen them a bit?
Removed the bars as I was doing another job at the same time, but may have been able to feed in the covers under the loosened bars. On the 1200LC you definitely remove the bars as the long bolts into the OEM head covers re replaced, but on the 1250 the bolts securing the Machine Art covers are quite short.

Finally finished fitting my BMW oem cylinder guards, looks quite factory :D :D

Found a used set (in quite good condition) for £60..

Another vote for Machine Art x-heads. They are compatible with the oem crash bars and the Wunderlich bars.

I ended up getting a set of the BMW oem ones for about £60 and they were in pretty good condition.

Next bike can have Machine X-heads :D

My bike came with x-heads, I'd probably have done the same as you if not!

OEM head guards are good too, had them on my 1200 and now my 1300, I prefer them to crashbars
I OEM covers on my GS, took them off to fit to the GSA and theyd marked the cam covers quite badly, had to leave them on the bike when i chopped it in. Bit annoying that,
