having looked at a few sites ,i hav,nt seen any relating to cyl.head mods. usually a bit of cleaning up and flowing can produce an alround increase in efficeincy and even performance where reqd. am i missing something, or has this been tried without worthwhile benefits? i note that most go down the road of chip +can. i have no interest in just top end,but agood stong or improved mid range. interested in any comments or expe
riences.

Hi Neil,

This reply may seem a bit tenuous but, because you are from just North of the Border the following tale may, I stress only may, be of help.

After a brilliant days riding in Dumfries and Galloway (magic deserted roads) we called into a cafe in Newton Stewart, it has some brilliant model aircraft in the window and hanging from the roof. The cafe owner is a biker and at the time had a Caponord but wanted a GS like his brother. Starts chatting and introduces us to his brother who has, and loves his GS. Really nice bunch of guys.

Anyway, it turns out that the GS owning brother had his heads done by someone who knows what they are doing with BMWs. If you want further info, a ride to Newton Stewart is no hardship from where you are, infact its a delight. The cafe is on the main street and pretty hard to miss, Newton Stewart aint that big.

Told you it was tenuous but, you never know. Damn good excuse for a ride out and you can get the benefits of head work from the horses mouth, so to speak.

Certainly can be done with Boxer engines, not sure 'bout dem new-fangled Oilhead ones though mind :D
