have just smashed the engine prot bars and cylinder head on my gs---how much is this going to cost me?????

Is the actual cylinder head or just the rocker cover.....?

Rocker covers are relatively cheap if you look around the breakers or on eBay.de (German site). I picked up a pair for about £50 to keep as spares 'cos I had a similar experience to yours.

A cylinder head is going to be a bit more, but check out Motorworks.co.uk for s/h prices. It shouldn't be too bad.

Thanks all---in my haste to get the bike fixed have ordered new parts from bmw--bill not quite as bad as expected
