Cylinder Head Valve cover temporary touch up

Just want to share a nice touch up job I have done on my valve covers. The black 'plasticky' coating has started to craze and peel off, with road salt really starting to accelerate the process. Before I get round to removing them and having them recoated ( powder coated ? ) I have sealed them with and done a touch up with some 'Plastikote' black spray. Been about 6 months now and still stuck on. Plastikote has withstood engine heat and road spray/grit.

Not the final answer but I'm very please with the stuff as a temporary measure.

Mag alloy can be powder coated but make sure the coating company know what they are doing.
