Hi everyone,

I looking for some advise regarding the front engine protection.
I have decided on two options but I'm undecided on which one to go for. I know they are supposed to do the same job but would like to hear some of your experiences with these to products.

Thanks and regards

I have both on my Alpine. There isn't much of a gap between the avant and the crud catcher but it clears.
I have the black crud catcher which I bolted on the engine first and then fitted the avant. There is a bit of room for manoeuvre that way

I'd recommend fitting both, you'll still get debris being flung onto your crud catcher even with a fender extender fitted BUT not as much as without one. And obviously with the Crud catcher being there, it aint hitting the engine. Simples

Ditto!

Would the Altrider engine guard (cymarc Equivalent) offer a bigger gap between crud catcher and Avant Fender extender? Any one tried this combination?

I've got the fender extender, and small Wunderlich crud catcher on my GSA. No clearance issues.

clearance

Pic of clearance with the cymarc crud catcher and mm fender extender. Approx one cm.

Nutty that looks the bollox , not as in your face as the others , can you still get them.....want one .....

Cheers , found it , ordered one , sorry to copy but like I said, looks ace

To be honest, with the fender extender it's not really necessary, but there's always a first time.

My GS has had an Avant Fender Extender from brand new (and Crudcatcher behind). The front of the [original] engine, just above the OEM undertray, was still blasted clean of all paint by shit off the front wheel. I've added the Wunderlich doo-dad to my Xmas list to keep the current engine a little more factory-fresh.
