cymarc emergency oil bottle & shelf

fitted me cymarc emergency oil bottle and shelf tonight up behind the headlight, works a treat, just wondering tho if anyones had any issues with the bottle rubbing thru on the back of the headlamp or surrounding parts where it touches??, iv put some sticky backed neoprene foam on the back of the bottle for good measure just in case, but I was just wonderin if anyone had, had any issues???

Agreed mine has not needed an oil top up in 3 years.

Not needed oil at all this year except for a service. The Hexhead on the other hand I only needed to top up once on tour of all the years of ownership.

My Hexhead GSA had a spare oil bottle so old that it cracked with age. Pointless TBH but I have lots of other pretty much pointless farkles.

I do agree about it bein a bit pointless, but only in a day to day scenario, if and when I go for longer trips, I don't think id want to travel with no spare oil atall, sods law says you'll need some

Peace of mind I think, I've never needed it but carry it. can't be arsed to find some if its needed on a European trip it weighs nothing and is there.
