Cymarc screen strengthen brackets

Hi all


I’ve managed to lose one of the knobs that tighten the Cymarc screen strengthening brackets on my LC. I’ve emailed Cymarc twice to see if I can get a replacement but no response. Anyone know where I can get one? Also I believe Marc is a member here so maybe he can arrange?

I’ve got one floating about as the same thing happened to me.
Ended up replacing them with a pair of stainless bolts and nylocs adjusted.
Mark really does need to make them captive as there is nothing to stop them disappearing

I had the exact same thing, no response from Cymarc when I tried to contact them to ask why they don't make the threaded part either longer to fit a spiit pin or better still a longer shank with a groove and circlip fitted, it's not rocket science!
Having said that I see he now has them listed on his site under Home/Extras/Replacement Fixings/HAND WHEEL SET R1200GS(A) LC Adjustable Screen Strengthening Brackets (Pair)
taking the piss selling as a pair but at leaset it leaves a spare.
I am stiil looking for something longer and more suitable!

Anyone know where I can get one?

You need a M6 x 15mm male thumb/wing nut which you can easily find on eBay or Amazon. You can get longer ones if you want to drill the end and fit a split pin but they are so cheap its not worth the hassle.

Hiya fella - I’m pleased to see the lads are sorting you out with alternative suggestions but my biggest concern is that you (and others) have not had replies from us?

We advertise a mobile number on the site and my personal number is also there - did you call or did you email? There’s email addresses for me Mick and Aaron on tue site too to ensure you have many ways to contact us.

Can I ask if you emailed or phoned please as I need to get to the bottom of this - it’s taken years to build up a reputation for service (I recently ride down to LEICESTER to help a fella got his pillion box - nothing wrong with it, it was the bike) so service is very important to me.

All sorted now thanks. I agree Cymarc are a great company and I’ve order numerous bits from
them and they’ve always been brilliant Not putting them at all.
