I had a small off end of last month, which left my arm a bit mangled ... will get there but it's going to take sometime before I'm back to full speed.
After that I started looking into protection, and found a few things which made me a bit surprised, my Klim Latitude Jacket have D3O protection - the T5-EVO range I guess, which comes is different thicknesses, etc. But much to my surprise I saw that it's only impact protection, it is not abrasive protection - even the T5-EVO Pro (I think this is used by Rukka, and also Klim in the Overland jacket), is not abrasive.
The D3O T6 range is abrasive ... but then it's probably better to look at Knox or SAS ...
Abrasive means that if one slides (hey, that happens a lot if one decides to leave the bike behind at speed) the protectors will not roll up, curl, or what ever it's called, and will stay put and protect what it's supposed to protect.
Just something to think about.
