DAB radio question

Thanks for all the input chaps :thumb2

I've formulated a cunning plan before I resort to the purchase of a Pure Highway.....

Found a two way input jack splitter lead for £1.49 on ebay, and a screen mount Pure Highway Aerial for just over £12 delivered...

Going to plumb them in to the Asda DAB radio to see if the signal is improved... Hoping thebatteries last at least a few hours.....

If not the DAB Aerial will still be used with a Pure Highway. :thumb

I use the DAB pure, when the power cable broke I ran it on batteries for a while.

It would eat 2 pairs a week on my 30 miles per day commute.

to mount the external antenna get a 22mm plastic pipe clip as used in plumbing and araldite a penny washer to it, it clips on to the handle bars by the clutch fluid reservoir just fine then bingo you have a perfect mount for the antenna

Thanks .. Good idea re mounting :thumb Won't work with the windscreen mount aerial though... I'm giving that one a go first

Hi Bryn,
I've been using the pure highway for around 4 years on bikes now.
Forget the stick on aerial as I didn't rate it,I got an external one from dabonwheels,if your going into an autocom you my need a inline volume control as you cannot adjust the volume of the pure when it is bike powered.
If you power via batteries I think it gets it reception via the headphone out only, which is useless.
My dab is connected into a power source on the bike and the aerial is mounted by the number plate, with the headphone out going directly into the autocom via the inline volume control.

Thanks Mick :thumb

I'm going to try the splitter with the stick on aerial with the Asda DAB radio I already have, before deciding if I need to upgrade ( the ASDA one is battery only.... I'll see how it goes . Splitter got delivered today, still waiting for the Aerial :beerjug:
