Does anybody have any experience of this suit ? I am looking for something a little lighter than Gore Tex Performance Shell for the summer, but all of the Pro Shell suits are £1,000 +. This suit seems to have a similar design to Pro Shell where the Gore Tex is bonded to the outer material although they cannot call it Pro Shell for some reason (I think it is not laminated). I tried the jacket on and it feels just right and lighter. I was wondering what people's thoughts were on this product or Dainese in general.

Been using the Dainese philip all winter which is I believe a similar design and construction and rate it highly. It sheds water really well and as you say is very light and comfortable. I'm not convinced it would make a great winter jacket for any longish distance work but as a commuter, round town jacket I think it will work well all year round. I've worn it daily (12 hours at a time) for the last 4 months and it's still looking new and still beads water. In that time it's not been washed or reproofed.

Think they're about £360 now.

Yes I think this one is discontinued they are now around for about £250 and they look like the same construction. Thanks for that, I can't seem to find many reviews of them anywhere !

Guys,

Go onto Youtube and type in the search :-

revzilla dainese bruce

That should find you some videos for it, or try this link :-

can't check if the link works as I'm at work at the moment.

I've had load of Dainese gear and rate I very highly, the fit in particular is great.

I have a Dainese Bruce, beads water and dries quickly. Rode through the Alps last Easter with it in snow at altitude, no bother, needed a North Face tech fleece underneath though.

Funnily enough, I've been looking at the same jacket myself today.

Looks good, but looking for some validation. I'll keep you posted.

Philip jacket, very similar to the Bruce only slightly cheaper can be had for approx £199 now, originally £320 ish. Recently bought one for £199 off Ebay.

Early days yet but initial impressions are good, certainly a nice fit with that Dainese Italian style.:beerjug:
