Saw one of these jackets the other day liked it very much ,

So before I go out and buy one does anybody have any experience of this particular garment???

VERY nice bit of kit Ming. Superbly made and nicely styled, if a bit more 'road' than a Rallye-2. Does everything you'll need it to do. :thumb2

The only reason I don't have one - they are cut a litle more (ahem! :o ) 'fitted' than the BWM ones and I found it a bit tight around my gut :augie

I have one mate and love it! It is well made, extremely waterproof and very comfortable, you can adjust the sides to wear it loose or tighten up to wear it tight around the torso. The adjusters on the upper arms are good, once again loose or tight.

The collar is very comfy against the skin, does not irritate or chaff. I also find that if you get the right size, the armour stays where it should be without any movement.

I bought the dianese wave 2 back protector at the same time, it fits like a glove in the back of the jacket. Plenty of pockets and a couple of 100% waterproof once, tried and tested! The thermal liner works well in winter without overheating and sweating.

There is only a couple of points i have noticed, it is very hot if stationary in summer traffic, and if you have all the fasteners on the front done up all the way to the top, the top one pops open when doing lifesaver checks, this is not really a problem and has not prevented it keeping me dry in a downpour, might be my build which caused that!:mmmm

I would thoroughly recommend this jacket to you. I couldn't find any Dianese trousers of the same material when i bought mine though, i bought another of the dianese gore-tex line and they are great as well.

Bought the Jacket and some Gore pants also Dainese, Been for a ride and very pleased so far .

I bought one last year, also trousers to match. As Andy says, tho' my collar stud doesn't pop out. It's been too warm for this fine weather we've been having (can't be arsed taking the liner out) and I see it more as a spring/autumn and winter jacket. The top two pockets are really handy, but not waterproof. The bottom two are (handy AND waterproof). I was wearing it on my wee trip to Scotland last September and it pissed down continually for the first day. After 240ish miles, the only water ingress was (eventually) at the collar (not much and probably inevitable given the amount of rain) and a damp spot on my belly (not sure how that happened as it hadn't leaked through the jacket).

As good as it is, I still went out and bought a Rallye 2 last Friday. :o
