Daithi & Jockser give up the fags.

Oooops :o

Been lookin' for me chequebook since I got back. Will sort something today, promise ;)

Been lookin' for me chequebook since I got back.

I know where it is. :augie

Well, what I mean is I know where it's most likely to be. Sitting in a handbag with just one cheque remaining in the book.

I wouldn't plan any impromptu big purchases for a few days until all the written cheques have cleared. It could prove to be very embarrassing. :o

You know I'm right, don't you? :augie

Nope ;)
I'm under no illusions that the 'joint account' cupboard has been raped & pillaged but MY money is MY money (until such time as she finds where it is ) & it's still safe as I took the precaution of seperating out the Morocco Fund :D

PS: Why's it called a joint account when I make all the lodgements & she makes all the withdrawals :nenau I'll have to work out a more equitable distribution of responsibilities :augie

sorry GerryC will get on to the financial controller :handbag immediatly, very hard to get good staff :augie told her last month about this at the dinner table :blast

Now what's that you said again? :rob

One final post from me on this thread...

Daithi
Safely arrived today - thanks :bow
Well, tonight makes it 5 months since we all quit and 5 months
was the length of time (for no particular reason) I always said
would mean I was not a smoker. I'm fairly sure the others who
quit are just as determined, but I will not be a smoker again.
Thanks to Gerry for pushing us and the rest of ye for all your
help coz the feckin things were gonna kill me eventually.

PS. if you know someone struggling to quit, I found those Champix tabs were amazing.

I have made an on line Donation to SVDP

Thank you for donating to the Society of St Vincent de Paul. Your donation of €606 was recieved.

I am posting €606 to ISPCC in the morning.

Thank you to all the generous donators.

Well done to the two lads; they are obviously better at giving up the fags than at navigation rallies.

One potential donator is missing but he can do the right thing later.

Again well done to all. :clap :clap :clap :beerjug:

I did a quick calculation and...

....I think we're close on having saved €5'000.00 each.

I'll have a 1200 yet.:augie

I gave up the dreaded weed the day after my youngest, Megan was Christened, and went back to them the week after her eleventh birthday. I'd like to blame Mr.Cowen but to be honest I fell victim to my own weaknesses. ( must confess that I had always used a nicotine substitute for the most part)

I don't like that I am sucking on these horrible life shortening, unsociable, smelly things again and need to put a complete stop to my nicotine consumption

So...................

if anyone else is considering making the the tobacco industry less well off and having a little more to spend on Touratech bling....................I was thinking Jan 2010 and no not the new years thing, but by the end of Jan 2010..............

............any one interested in living longer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As Shinobi said "It's the best thing you'll ever do for yourself."
It'd be great if someone else from here joined ya, I'll put €100 into the charidee of
your choice "when" you hit the three month marker.
