Hi, im going a trip next year to Spain/Portugal, and we are planning to do a bit more off road than last time. I have diddly off-road experiance so i want to get some protection for the bike and chances are high i'll drop it.
I have engine bars already from SW-motortech, what else do i need?

Upper engine bars seem a bit extreme, but cylinder guards and some protection for brake fluid reservoirs would seem sensable...

BMW cylinder guards any better than touratech?

ta,

I think you'll have to expect the odd spill, but if you haven't done any off-roading before, wouldn't it be a better investment to get some training?

Ya i'm looking into organising some training, their is a local guy that does motor-x days. Trying to get my brother to commit to some BMW training up in Wales, but its like getting blood from a stone. I might have to a jonny-no-mates on it!

I`m happy to spend a few hours giving you a few pointers.
PM me if you want to.

Thanks SkyGod, unlikely to do anything this side of Christmas (other than a few local byways), but afterwards that could be really useful as was planning a trip around Peak district on a weekend Jolly.:beerjug:
