My sat nav popped out of its cradle last weekend whilst I was doing about 60mph! A bit surprising as I had covered about 100 odd miles down twisty bumpy roads!
Questions are;
Has this happened to anywon else and any recomended repairers as the casing is damaged and although it still works there is a 'internal crack' that starts in one corner and crosses the screen (only really appears with slight pressure on the screen or when traveling over bumps)
Proper pissed off as I only bought it last october with the new bike!
Thanks
Mick

Not happened to me but why not send it away to Garmin. They will swap it for fully refurbed model for about £120. Just email them and get a price. I did it once and new unit arrived within a week

i picked my bike up last week with a Nav 5 on it... after stopping for fuel / cake a few days later i popped the nav in my pocket, refitted and rode off, although i was "sure" i had fitted it correctly i spotted a bit of red on the nav mount - this was the red warning colour on the release tab to show that it was not properly snapped in - close call but it didn't actually pop out - i look for the red bit now every time i put it in -

I've noticed a couple of times that mine wasn't as "fitted" as I first thought. Very aware of that now and double/triple check its security when refitting.

Sorry to hear of the damage to yours. Might it be covered under your house contents insurance?

Thanks for the replies, Gonna be very careful in the future! You would think locked in would be 'locked in'
Will check my house insurance policy and contact Garmin as AP11 LAD suggested.
