..these beasts! (R80gs Mono thingy)

Right "Gurus"...is this a common fault and is ther a common fix..before I set about the thing with my trusty Stillsons and 4-lb hammer?

When getting warm..filtering in traffic, the clutch push rod seizes "in"... when it cooled off a bit..out she popped... I thought it was cable at first...but no..it's deeper than that.

Secondly... what/where's the best "workshop manual" available ?

...apart from that...and a "readjustment" for braking distances...what a cracking little bike.

Workshop manual - In my opinion, Haynes. I swear by mine. Cheap and very comprehensive.

Common problem. The pistons sticking in the gearbox casing. You have to take the arm off and pull the piston out to clean it up. Must be all that mud bobble ran it through

I use both Haynes & Clymer manuals, each have their strong points.

How did you get it to go quick enough to need brakes?

Yea, common fault. They must swell a bit over time. Mine did it. After advice from a long time Beemer mechanic we put it in a lathe an machined a whisker off it. End of problem.

Not sure about that...but it may explain the knakered head bearings..... . . . . . . .
