An, ahem, close friend of mine arrived back from Switzerland yesterday, to find a speeding fine from the fine people of Solothurn waiting for him.
It is for the surprisingly small violation of 7km/h over the 120km/h limit, and is therefore for "only" CHF60.
Does anyone know what he can expect to happen should he ignore the request for money?
Important to this is the possibility that he wishes to take up a job as a particle physicist back in Geneva at some point.
Any advice gratefully accepted, and er, passed on to him.
