I’m putting out a few feelers to see whether anyone may be interested in purchasing a very high quality roof top tent which is at the time of writing this, about 6 months old approximately. I’ve only slept in it twice! I purchased it from Trek Overland in Helmsley, North Yorkshire for £4500, they are now selling it for £4800.

This is no ordinary roof top tent, if Carlsberg made roof top tents, this would be their tent.
The RTT has been and still is in dry storage where it has been over the winter with LVB Overland who are based in Doncaster. https://www.lvboverland.com/
Here’s a video by the manufacturers, Darche demonstrating the RTT.
Ordinarily I have the RTT mounted on my Transporter using a Thule Caprock XXL rack system, however there are many mounting options available such as Front Runner, Smart Cab etc. Ideally this needs to be mounted on a van of a similar size to a Transporter or alternatively a Ranger, Hilux, Landrover, Landcruiser, Amarok etc as it weighs 95kgs so the dynamic roof rating of your vehicle should be equal to or greater than this. The dynamic rating refers to the weight on the roof when the vehicle is in motion, not when you are parked up and sleeping in the RTT. The RTT will comfortably sleep two adults and a small child.
Here’s a few pics of it on my van so you get an idea.
I’m looking for £3800 which is £1000 less than the current price. If anyone is interested I will pay for the transportation via Courier of the RTT to your home/work address or alternatively if you live local to Doncaster I will pay for it installing directly onto your vehicle, you’ll just need to make sure you have a compatible roof rack system as mentioned above.
I’m only considering selling it due to family circumstances relating to my wife’s health. Please be confident in knowing that the RTT is mint, undamaged and genuinely as new.
If you’re interested and wish to discuss further please simply drop me a PM with a mobile number and I’ll be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
Thanks, Steve.
