Ok, can anyone help?

I have a 03 ADV Twin Spark with Evo II ABS. The last couple of days I have had and intermitten problem with the dash board brake light.

Start up, self test happens, all lights go out and pulling away. Then the bottom Red Triangle light will come on and stay on. Today, it came on, stoped, turn ignition off and on again and it went out, then has now come back on permently. It goes out on ignition then activates when riding.

Nothing wrong with the brakes, they still work fine. The brake light bulb is all ok, checked that and the brake pedal is not sticking?

Anyone? Is is something to do with the ABS?

Many thanks in advance. I am at work so no manual to refer to either.

You say the bulb is OK - have you tried swapping it? The rear lamp circuit compensates for a blown rear filament by illuminating the brake filament at lower power. If this happens, the warning light comes on to tell you to change the bulb. It's almost impossible to tell the bulb is gone without removing it and examining it closely, as both the rear and brake lamps apparently work normally. Swap it with one of the bulbs from your car, or a spare if you have one, and see if that fixes it...

Mike:)
