if you were able to take 3 months off and take a bike trip with a mate, where would you go and why?

I would like to do the Americas north to south like Lois Pryce did. I would start over in New York though and ride up to Alaska then head down the west coast - I seem to recall there being organised trips along these lines by whats his name Saunders I think.

Good challenge - if you have not been to Africa, try it. There is something about the people, the sun and the red earth that speaks to the ancient you!

The United Kingdom and Norway.
Honest!

6 weeks in the UK (3 or more in the north of Wales), and the rest (of the total 12 weeks) in the south part of Norway.

I'n mot sure I want the same mate all those 12 weeks - the biggest problem would be to find a person who would like to do this. And I'm not 100% sure I want a mate with me all the time too!

I must pop in to Hograost!

But I'm sure I want to ride the sidecar, not my 2-wheeled Scarver.
And I want to use my tent&sleepingbag ca.70% of the nights.

When this tour is done, I want to go to Arkhangelsk, but not for that long, only the time it takes, riding a little every second day.

Holland to Australia

Hello lads
I wouldn't mind riding me bike to Australia but it would take more than 3 months.

All round europe spending a bit of extra time looking at land plots in the pyrennees & dolomites

UK - Kathmandu via turkey/iran/pakistan/india

Mongolia & the stans

UK - Capetown

California - Ushaia

6 months would be overland to Oz.

I'm not going for three months, just two. Shipping my GSA to Sydney then Melbourne, Adelaide, Alice Springs, and east to Brisbane. Then ship bike to NZ to do North and South Island. Doing that this coming November and December.
Am planning to do it on my own, its my first major trip and i'm very much looking forward to it!

As this is a day dream, I shall offer up my fantasy bike ride.

Off-planet; ride some of those Moon craters (probably an electric bike)

Would have to be Africa for me...the scenery, people, the excitement!

Eastern Europe, and visit the places I missed when I went for 6 months.
I'd want to visit Riga where my Great Grandfather came from.
And explore more of Poland.
And Slovakia again which was the most stunningly beautiful place from every angle.
And I'd go back to the Ukraine.
And make the effort to get a visa for Russia.
Where's that map ?
I've already got the equipment.
Just need some cash......
