Have any owners of the latest generation of BMW bikes with daylight running lights in the indicators experienced an increase in instances of drivers pulling out on them because the indicator is illuminated? I've seen a couple of threads on other forums on this subject and I am wondering whether members of this forum have noticed this.

Nope, nor on my Honda, which also has them. What I've noticed instead is that now I'm in my 4th year of back to biking I have much fewer instances of drivers pulling out on me than I did in my first 12-18 mths of riding. And I don't think this is because the small percentage of idiot car / van drivers has got any less.

I have those illuminated indicators on my Africa Twin. Not noticed any difference at all in how drivers see me. 3 yrs 20k miles

As has been said before in another section , i think they give a bit more width to the bike as they are colser to the extremities , maybe create different focal points as well rather than just single headlamp.

Only done 1,000 miles, but not noticed any difference yet. Almost got knocked off in a car park a couple of days ago by a driver who didn't look AT ALL, so whatever lights I'd had on wouldn't have made any difference!

It seems from these responses that they are making life safer because of the additional visibility.

I'm in the US and have a 2018 GSA a.I always ran with the stock running lights "ON" and felt that it helped me being conspicuous. I then threw on a pair of Denali D-4's and ran with all the lights on and didn't notice that much difference....I then put the yellow lenses on the D-4's.. and NEVER put the stock running lights on again. I feel that the 2 different colors help a lot AND the way I have the D-4's set up is when I put the blinker on the D-4 on that side shuts off ...Very Effective and feel that the different colors are much more effective than even having the 2 sets of running lights clear ( white)
