weather proved to be good, no rain, muddy, very deep water filled ruts but what a hoot. i was not convinced about tackling some of the climbs, wet rocks are not my favourite, but never one to quit i was very suprised at just how much the GS can do.
still grinning now all be it nursing a huge bruise on my right leg
forgive some of the pics, i was too busy trying to keep it upright than stopping every five minutes to photo some of the beautiful scenery we came upon. (Derwent Valley was amazing)
No low flying jets, very peaceful
Very nice tribute to 617 Dambuster SQD. RAF.
First steep climb up wet track and i experienced what i can only described as : Shi*****t that hurt
good job the fence was there to take most of it
Eventually got her up and out, headed to the start of many many lanes
If your in the area the Five Ways cafe does a cracking toasted buttie and brew, very bike friendly too
then off to play some more
then it was time for a final brew and reflect on how much water i was holding in my boots
She didn't let me down and now deserves a good strip down and clean.
job for my two little lads tomorrow i reckon
