Daytime riding lights connection

I have a 2014 GS with the LED light but would like to add a pair of auxillary daytime riding lamps, can I just connect to the power connection for the headlamp daytime riding light then when the headlamp comes on they will go out? or is this going to upset the canbus?

Likely will upset the canbus, suggest Ezcan, makes it really easy and adds functionality without touching the OEM wiring

+1 canbus is fussy and Ezcan is simple to fit. c
