Having just bought a brand new pair of Daytona pro boots ….I'm a bit annoyed to see one of the red letters of the logo across the sole is already coming off… the boots have been worn 3 times in 2 weeks since purchase for a grand total of 150 miles …And my foot pegs have nice thick rubbers on them …..is this to be expected?

Given that you probably paid well over £300 for them, I’d say it’s probably not a design feature 🤔

100pc. Your complaint is that the shop provided goods not fit for purpose

Let them have a pissing match with Daytona.

Irrespective of what the OP does, totally agree to take them back

Actually I have good experience dealing directly with Daytona and found their customer service in Germany to be very helpful
I had a set of boots where the glue between sole and boot upper had simply disintegrated after 12 years. My fault. Bought them in a discounted sale from Louis and never used them for almost 8 😱😱
Sent them back, cost me €115 including postage and them came back as new. Took about 3 weeks as I did this last year during Summer when they had their factory holidays
Pretty decent if you ask me

I had a pair of Daytona boots many many moons ago, they where the most comfortable of boots, had them resoled due to wear n tare. But sadly just did not feel the same.

Only other issue was that the middle part on the toe protector for changing gear on the left boot parted ways, possible due to glue being exposed to so much bad weather over the years, did not bother repairing them after that.

For myself, Profirst make a reasonable priced low boot, I do like the adventure style buckles they come with.
Bit of a phaff, if you don't get the buckles off first time though.

Had the same issue with my La Botte heals :)

Forget about it. It's not like you can see it when your wearing them.
There's more important things to stress about.

I’m on my second pair now, first ones lasted 20+ years eventually wore the heel down till a small hole appeared in the corner of one, thought about sending them off to get resoled but decided to spend the £420 on a new set from SBS as they should see me out.
I’ve had them on about a dozen times now and they do seem much more rigid than the last ones,
I struggled to change gear with them the first few rides as they were so stiff, though they are breaking in now, I don’t remember my old ones being like this so changes /improvements have been made over the last 20 years, not surprisingly.
Long story short I’ve not had any problems with mine.

I sent two pairs of Roadstars back to Daytona a couple of years back. Both came back spot on, new genuine soles and new glued on gear change pads. The original pads are sewn on which seems to mean that they eventually break up between the ribs, pretty sure the new ones being glued on hopefully won’t be able to separate so easily. Think the new pads are also slightly larger to cover the old stitching holes maybe?? For a bit over £150 each pair I was well pleased. Sent direct to Daytona, not through any agent or importer, they just all want to add a chunk to the cost and delay the whole process.

I replaced a pair of Travelstar GTX boots with the Pro version, which seem to take much longer to soften up.

So, over two weeks ago took the boots back to J&S … it was then 13 days since purchasing them new…
Manager looked at them.. took photo’s and called head office…. He then tells me he’s been told to send them back to head office for them to assess….
He then says they may say that it’s cosmetic 😡 I showed my displeasure and he said it’s unlikely but they have to go through the process…
So a week ago I rang J&S to be told that head office had sent photo’s to Daytona Europe and were waiting for for a response
Another weeks goes by ( yesterday). Rang them again. … ‘We’re waiting for a response from Daytona Europe’

I pointed out that my contract is with J&S not Daytona… and that the wait is unacceptable…. They said they’d chase it up..again😏
