Finally I have decided to replace my boots after:-
12 years
150,000 miles of riding in all weathers
almost 2,000 miles of walking (from parking to work, amazingly comfortable to walk in)
Heels worn through, LH sole now virtually "treadless"
Leather almost cracked through on both boots behind the toe-cover rubber (which stops me getting them re-soled)
BUT regular dosing of dubbin (I know, not recommended by the purist)
All zips still perfect
STILL completely waterproof......
I know that there are cheaper boots out there, but for comfort, longevity and continued protection, at an overall average cost of about £25 per year, can you beat it?
Anyone done better with these or other boots??
What I am I going to replace them with? Guess what!! - another pair.
