I'm getting tired of having soaking feet, so have decided to get a pair of Daytonas. Thing is I'm stuck on which pair to buy. The choice is pretty much between the Spirit GTX XCR and the Roadstar GTX.

I'm drawn to the Spirit on the basis that I'd probably get more year round use out of them, being as they're designed to work in warmer temps as well. Of course the downside is will they be too cold in the British winter? (35 mile commute).

So anyone got any experience of the Spirit in the UK winter, or conversely wearing the Roadstar in warmer climes?

Cheers

I have the Daytona Roadstar GTX, and they are excellent boots. I wear them all year round and in all weathers, never had a leak and never found them unsuitable for hot weather. So much so that when the sole started to wear after about 4 years I had them resoled at a cost of £90 (sent back by Hideout Leathers), they came back from the manufacturers like new. Brilliantly comfy with great protection and excellent for walking in unlike some of the sports boots. Def buy another paid when these eventually give up, 7 years old now and still clean up like new with the leather cream.

I`ve got the Roadstars too. Wear them year round and never thought they were too warm.

I have the Road Stars and use them until the temp gets above 20* and then I pull out the Datytona Winners

I hate to have hot feet and find the Road Stars superb until things get a bit on the hot side - maybe not a regular prob in the UK though :D

what is this - Spot the Ball or something?? :mcgun

Actually you can see why I got the Busa instead of the 1K or indeed any of the other superbikes around at present - the Busa is about the same size as all the superbikes I remember from about 10yrs ago which is when I had last thrown a leg over one.

ok - keep guessing then :D

(p.s sorry for the hijack)
