I bought myself a pair of Daytona's Travel Star GTX boots today.

Higher cut in the calf than their popular (and excellent) Road Star and similar boots. Sort of 3/4 of the height between a conventional road boot and a motor cross boot, if I had to guess.

They certainly feel comfortable, with the extra length giving good support. Looking forward to trying them out.

Not cheap but Daytona boots last well, do what they say on the tin and their refurbishment service is excellent. If you do lots of miles and place a value on decent kit, they may well be worth a look. I'll report back when I have given 'em a bit of a bash.

I bought a pair about a month ago from Infinity, where they told me they are Hampshire plod standard kit. I might ride all year round, but rarely for the whole day in the winter.

So far, warm dry feet and I can still feel the controls. Previous boots that were waterproof were stiff and rigid.

One happy rider.

I bought them for the extra length up the calf. My BMW TourShell's left leg sometimes rides up over my Daytona boot, with the inevitable waterfall of water pouring in :D

I'm hoping the Travel Star's greater height will stop this.

'The foot of my wife is grateful for the quality, and we too!'
Did you read the submissions to the Daytona prize draw? Some crackers :D

Whilst I remember :D
