Put a set of decat headers on today with standarg exhaust. Went for spin with standard filter then with k and n. with the k an n it reved better from 4000 revs but i thought that it was slower to pick up at lower revs.
Is this just my imagination or has anyone else noticed this?

Cheers

It's your imagination :comfort

Headers good:thumb2
K&N less so for my liking, too much induction roar and as you say makes the bike feel a little flat low down in the rev range:(

K&N have little difference across all revs for the GS - well little positive difference as it can't use the extra air that better filters provide in some other bikes (all what I have read and some experience on the road - note, I have not tested both).

My conclusion is - waste of money ;)

My '05 runs a full decat'd system, Wunderlich fuel controller and cut down intake snorkel. I originally ran it with a K&N (fitted at the same time as the other mods and made a very worth while improvement to the engine) but have now been back on the standard filter for the past 2 years.

The filter change has made no difference what so ever :)
