As I'm sure Steptoe will tell us, those are the instructions for the BBPowerchip. I'm still not sure what they would actually tell the Motronic to do with the standard chip in place (except in the case of the low octane fuel). I await Steptoe's sage wisdom on this (again).

Syco - I cut a 4 inch square hole in the top of my cat - Then got inside and cut the top off the internal Y piece, this lets the exhaust gas flow straight out in staed of going around the Cat converter do dah
I was told sometime somewhere that yer can get dodgy shit out of cutting the cat canister itself so by doing it this way yer leave it alone
Runs better than a Y piece, because as Tim says it lets the space act like a collector and smooth out the bangs = I think anyway - Not a lot of increase in noise
Its SS so yer need Tig as well
Also by cutting the top Yer cant see where yerve been with the cutter welder

Hi MickDB1 you can weld stainless with mild steel mig wire. As its not a stressed part it should be fine. Yes it will rust but a coat of zinc paint should stop that. I pulled the muffler out of its sleeve, opened it up and welded a bend in to join the the 2 bits of pipe up. Put it all back in the sleeve and no one knows. Might do the cat top hole operation next.

Water is there to be muddied

The Accelerator Module only does anything when the bike is in open-loop operation, ie, accelerating. Normally, on a constant throttle, the bike receives an input from the lamda sensor (closed loop) and follows what ever instructions (map) it is running. The Accelerator is more accurately named than the Booster, imho.

This is how I see it as well. I ended up using the cat code plug that came with the bike from new. It seems some have it, some don't etc. Maybe an appropriate plug was fitted at the factory? I used the boosterplug to add some more fuel as with the y-piece and remus revolution silencer it runs a little lean.
I also had a full remus race can that made the bike seem even more responsive. Never ran that on a Dyno, so it was only my perception. It would easily pick the front up off the throttle.
I guess at the end of the day adding a better breathing exhaust system will make the bike run leaner, so I cant see the harm in adding a little fuel.
