Hi all,

Apologies if this has been covered off on other posts, I did a search but didn't find any answers.

I love my Nav V and and love my GS. I even use the navigation wheel occasionally, although granted, normally just to turn the navigation screen off so its not a distraction.

However, when riding, I find my hand often nudges against the wheel, changing what is displayed not the screen, or re-activating the screen if I have turned it off.

Is there a way of dialling the wheel function, temporarily would be great, so it don't keep changing screens from just a small hand shift on the lever that accidentally brushes it.

Cheers.

Rob

Exactly the problem I found with the demo bike, after 20 minutes it bugged me so much I turned off the sat nav, on my bike I kept my zumo 660, and use it with the powered cradle and no thumb wheel controls

You have 2 options.

1st one, remove the cover from the switch gear and there's 3 plugs, one of these controls the wheel and can be unplugged.

2nd one, buy a non sat prep grip like i have done £45, comes as a whole new grip without the wheel.

Cheers for the suggestions, guess I'll be going down one of these routes. Sad though as once in a while its useful, so would be even better if there was a way to push the button on the wheel for like 3 seconds, that deactivated it until the button on the wheel was pushed for 3 seconds when it would become re-activated......I can only assume the designers didn't use it in too many real world environments before rolling it out.

Cracking bike though, so mustn't grumble ha ha!

No problem with normal sized hands but if you've got girly sized hands I can see the problem :D

Got to agree, that wheel combined with a Navigator 5 is just so useful, I cannot understand why some people don't like it.

Had a little temporary problem with my thumb thingy not talking to my nav 5 the other day, set off from a fuel station after removing it from the cradle, I'm assuming it didn't like it as when I turned it off & back on again communication was restored... Well, my point..
Wouldn't like to be without the thumb wheel now I've been using it.. (Yes I've got little hands) but I have got used to reaching slightly further for the indicator switch..
