Swithed on my bike and waited for zumo 550 to turn on befor riding. Nothing. Thought it was the battary again so took the battary out and replaced it, this has worked befor when nothing on the screen. Nothing, again. Have had it on charge over night and still no responce either when back fitted on or off bike.
So, how long does the battary last. Its less than 12 months old but not sure how long it was on display befor i bought it.

Any help much appreciated.

It doesn't sound as though the problem is with the battery - you might need to remove the battery if the Zumo is locked up, but that is (should be) rare. The battery in my 550 is fine after 3+ years.

If the unit is less than 12mo old it would be best to get it fixed by Garmin under warranty.

Update to my dead battery. I gave Garmin a call and they gave me some help over the phone. This i did over a couple of days but no responce from my Zumo. Another call to Garmin has resulted in me sending the unit back to them. Now for the bonus, They will send me a brand new 550 or 660 as a raplacment. There is a shortage of batterys so they will send me whichever one they have.:thumb.
