A week ago I replaced the LCD in a netbook that someone carelessly sat on. This morning, folloing a reboot after installing Windows updates the screen changed resolution. The bios now only uses part of the screen area on booting up and Windows uses parts of the screen but not in a sensible order. If I put the old screen back in it works as it should. Has something hiccupped in the new lcd or is it simply dead? It's a HannStar whereas the original was an LG but both are the correct 1024 by 600 pixels.
