I would like to recommend Munich Motorcycles in Perth, West Australia;( just in case anyone is passing by that way). I have visited them a few times over the past couple of years and found them to be very helpful. They are an independent BMW dealer with a small showroom (but not as small as the BM dealer in Reading!) they offer many discounted parts and free technical advice and are used by many "Round the World' travellers. I have only heard good reports about them. Paul, one of the owners emigrated from Bristol (about 10 years ago) and there are a couple more Brits working there so language should not be a problem.
