:nenauA question if you have you bike serviced how do you know its been correctly done? For example change the Engine oil and it looks clean through the glass level checker. But say you ask and pay for the Final drive to be serviced, ie oil changed there is know way short of draining it out and checking it and then of course how long does it take to change colour/degrade so you can't tell ??? same with spark plugs etc.

Just a thought:confused:

As he sez. Buy a manual and do it yourself, changing the oils is piss easy, as are the spark plugs, even doing the tappets is easy. If you don't want to splash out on vacumn gauges or twinmax for throttle body balance just pay the dealer to do that. The only job I haven't been too happy about doing myself is the servo ABS brake bleed, in the past I had the dealer do it when the bike was MOT'd, but I've now got the gear and there's some useful info on the web on how to do that yourself.
There again there are some very reliable indepenent service people about who come highly reccommended, such as our own Steptoe in London, and RGM in Lancashire.
