Hi fellow 'tossers' -

I am a very recent convert to the GS experience and even newer to this site ! Took a 2010 GS for a test ride fully expecting not to enjoy it but brand new bike now sits alongside my Aprilia Mille ( early model ).

The GSA is great and has beautiful chrome headers which have blued-off really nicely. Would like to dispense with the OE tail-pipe and CAT to make it breath better and give a better sound. Only way this can be done with the 2010 model is to buy new headers. This is expensive and would be a waste of some good-looking chrome headers. My research has taken me to a company called 'Zorstec' in Yorkshire. Comes highly recommended via other forums on this site. Boss man says he could make a Y-shape connector in stainless steel for about £180. This would connect original chrome headers to either OE or aftermarket end can. He was confident that this was a straightforward task for him.

Problem is this............I live on south coast and am unlikely to make the journey that far north. Zorstec said it would take about five hours work to make a one-off connector pipe for me but if there was enough interest in this 'product' he would set up a jig and make a run of them - which would reduce down the cost. This would save buying Remus or Akra headers for those of us with perfectly good chrome headers.

Is this of any interest to anyone out there who might be considering making a similar mod ? If Zorstec make a run of these I will have one sent down.
