....another ill-matched jumble of parts which are interesting enough in themselves but......:(

I don't normally like cafe racers but, except for the awful front mudguard, I think that's rather nice.

Looks a bit of a photoshop effort to me. Actually.. I hope it is.

So so many modern 'arty' 'specialist' bikes built by studios who have hired an old bike mechanic, or an old bike mechanic whose sister went to art school so thinks he can sell his bikes as 'art' are doing exactly the same thing, week in week out......wrap a bit of tape around the 'zorsts, bolt a few bits on that have the lines that make some reminisce about their old bike that had that bit on, stick on an old decal (distressed accordingly of course) or paint on a stripe that reminds those with rose coloured tints over their eyes about some long forgotten colour scheme and then get some tart to take a semi-decent photo of the bike........

I'm with you on this one Mr Schtum sir.......It lacks purpose, identity, focus and poise.
It's a cliché, an anachronism and a poorly conceived over-indulgent motorcycle, built by an onanistic narcissist.

Oh, and it looks shit too :)

That's about the most ill-proportioned, badly matched collection of parts I've ever seen from a professional builder.

I just can't understand why they did it - and why, having done so, they thought it was a good idea to let the rest of us see it!

I have always quite liked the stuff coming out of Deus, although it's always a bit over priced, but this is SO wrong...

Well your responses has me floored. "It lacks purpose" - it's a cafe racer, what do you expect? "Identity" - It's a BMW. "Focus" - umm, focus? "Poise" - oh, gord, either you read too much into a motorbike or I read too little. "Ill proportioned" - the front mudguard is uselessly short. Other than that it looks great (to me) a cracker. Nice alloy tank and seat, USD forks and a front brake which works. I'd prefer polished alloy rims though. Interesting to read how some people judge bikes.

Ah I know what it is. No knobblies or Touratech panniers:blast

At first sight I thought it was not bad. I like the tank and seat but then I realised that they didn't really fit. The front end looks 2013 apart from the silly mudguard but the rear end looks 1970s. Everyone's doing exhaust wrap which has become pretty boring.

As said there are far too many arthouse bike builders these days. I can't really believe there is that much money in it. From an art view point the airhead engine is pretty ugly so why is it so often used as the basis of these bikes - probably because it is so easy just to bolt bits on without any real thought or engineering.

It looks a mess to me! A level tank, a seat tail sloping upwards and an exhaust sloping downwards. :blast

the front doesn't gell with the rest of it, it would look ok if it had silver forks, a bigger mudguard and a round disk, so its less in your face modern front, plus it looks like a cafe racer chopper!

These guys charge a lot for their bikes, and it should be better for the money.

The rear end has the right lean and stripped look , but the forks, front guard, headlight and instruments are just awful.

A set of Norton forks would look better with that tank and the 70 s rear shocks.

And that headlight would look lousy even if it was on a Harley.

After reading all your comments I've come to the conclusion you're all gonna pretty much hate mine.
Nope, not necessarily. There is a core of purists here though that pretty much dislike modification made for the sake of 'fashion'.

As the original poster commented, there are a lot of nice 'bits' on the bike. Its just the bike seems confused as to what it wants to be.

Post a pic and we'll give you the benefit of our highly developed aesthetic sensibilities....:rob

At the risk of repeating myself, this is quite possible the nicest airhead I've ever seen and having seen it in the metal in the infield at the Laguna Seca 2005 Moto GP, it's even better in reality....

The difference being this is a properly engineered performance motorcycle, not just a collection of ill-matched parts cobbled together to meet the current fashion.

Mostly, but the angle of the U/J at the end of the paralever is wrong - it will be lucky to see out a five lap race at that angle.
