Death of a GS

Panjandrum also starts with a P along with other words.

The main thing is "mate" walked away uninjured.

Sometimes, we do the same thing and 99 times no problems then there is the 1 time that ends fucking your whole day up.

Tis not all bad, at least you don't have to worry about corrosion and your forks falling off.

Why is it not true bends don't just appear or move around?

I've experienced rare wide sweeping bends that suddenly switch back. Suicide bends I call those. They'll lead you into a false speed and you have little time to compensate without using brakes.

That isn't bad planning.

Slow in fast out, if you're not familiar with the road ride slower especially if you're unsure what is around the corner.

the limit point doesnt lie

They would be the ones caused by sliding and scuffing down the road for 40 yards then

Possibly but they are just of the centre line on the left hand side, which struck me as a bit weird.

You don't always have to brake before a bend you know, good riders seldom do :P

Idiot :D

If you had read my post in the correct context and spirit and not jumped to conclusions you would not have made the reply that you did.

This thread is going crackingly well. Engineer in a fight, people backing him up, others shoving the boot in; fine impressions by Warlord who, if only he'd have been the rider, would have a full screen print out of all sorts of data in his inevitable video film; and to top it off, a moaning rant (or is it a ranting moan) about insnorance, that - somewhat disappointingly perhaps - does seem to have been resolved to the injured party's satisfaction, the insurer shelling-up as must they should.

Nothing now needs to hold back the release of as much video evidence as possible for the delectation (and undeniable critical appraisal) of UKGSer bikermates up and down the country.....

It's what makes UKGSer great :)

Look I'm an Advanced Rider as well. I'm telling you there are very nasty rare corners out there that'll force you into using brakes.

You'll find out one day.

only been riding 40 years i will look out for them:D

I've been using brakes for 40 years. I find that it's the best way to loose speed or stop. JJH
