Don't know if this has been "done" before but perhaps we can start a list of places who serve a "Decent Cup of Coffee". Recently I was at AMR (Automoto-Racing) near Leyburn having tyres fitted and wandered over to The Manor Cafe. Very nice looking establishment with both indoor and outdoor seating and a very pleasant lady serving. " Instant or Fresh Ground"
"Oh, fresh ground please". Has to be the worst cup and anything sold as Coffee I have ever had. Tasted like a cross between Licorice and Gravy Salt.
Not wanting to make a fuss I wandered outside and dumped it. So, that's one for the avoid list, well for their Coffee at least. Recommended is Thomas The Bakers in Helmsley, comes out of a machine and none the worst for it. And at £1.05 a go it's excellent.

.

I had a cracking Cafe au Lait in the Bar les Arcades in the Place Louis Moreau, Entrevaux yesterday, served with a lovely sandwich of jambon cru and fromage. Recommended :thumb

I'm not sure of the name of the place but the Italian run sandwich shop near the bottom of Westgate road next to the chip shop.

An excellent cup of coffee:thumb2

That would be the Aurora Delhi and it is excellent coffee, try the parma ham, mozarella salad hot baguettes with balsamic vinegar. SUPERB !!!

For good coffee try the cafe at Milkhope centre at Blagdon , the farm shop at Widdrington Village or further north what about Otterburn Mill , the cafe at Marshalls just off the A1 at Scremerston (Berwick) or the Barn at Beal (Holy Island turnoff)

Spookily enough, that's exactly what I had with the coffee:thumb2
