Decent independant mechanic

Does anyone know of a decent independant mechanic in the herts/beds area or anywhere north of the river thames.

Everyone keeps mentioning steptoe with very high regard but I just wanted to know if anyone knew of anybody a bit closer?

I'm Essex/London. Steptoe isn't that far (Richmond) and he gets my money every time.

It's not THAT bad south of the river .

Hi I agree with the above posts about St Eptoe.

If you must use someone else, I can recomend Duncan at BikersRealm in Welwyn GS.

Duncan rebuilt the head on my GS when I snaped a rocker cover bolt off. He was very helpful to me, even drove me down to the station so I could leave the bike with him for a few days. Did a top job at short notice so we could still go to Ireland. I was sent there from SBW Motorrad.

I know from seeing them there that some Tossers use him for general servicing. Go have a look if you like. Let us know how you get on.
