Definite metallic knock

Folks,

Having just serviced the 1100 I have now noticed a definite metallic sounding knock on start up, goes away more or less after it's warm. Does anyone have any ideas what this might be?! She's on 70k, i don't think it a major knock like mains bearings, sounds nearer the top of the engine. Possibly alternator bearing?!!!!

If it is on the left side it is probably the camchain tensioner if it still has the original one fitted. The oil drains out of them when stationary then once it fills with oil when started the noise goes away. The new type retains oil continuously I believe.
