I ordered by Hella lights back on the 9th Sept and with the exception of a web order confirmation by return I've heard nothing from them, despite my follow-up e-mails.

Money for the full order was taken on 10th Sept and my light bar and motoswitch are like me redundant :(

Demon Tweeks are well known in the car racing world - set up by Alan Minshaw many decades ago and now run by various members of his family.

Try ringing Jason Minshaw on 01978 663020 and ask him what gives.

Judge,

I used them for years when I was racing (Cars), and they were always very good, phone 01978 664466 and give them hell, They used to have a policy that they didn't charge your card until the item was ready for dispatch, so the may be a problem????

Hope it helps if you have any further hassel, pm me and i'll try and sort it.

Andrew

Had a reply to my e-mail

Andy,
We are still waiting for the Micro de fog lamp with black rim to come in to stock. I have tried contacting our suppliers twice now but unfortunately i have had no answer both times. I will keep trying them and get an update for you. I will email you as soon as i have a delivery date for you.

Regards,
Barry Jarvis

No reply as to why they've charged you for kit they are uncertain they can supply though?

Get your money back & go to another supplier Andy....

Mike:)

I ordered some Red Line Shockproof gearbox oil from them and it turned up at 8am the next morning, so I had no probs.

I used too fix their computer system -it's a Baydell Raid system and so proprietry, that only God knows why they went down that route. It's probably gone down and I doubt there's anyone in the country, apart from me knows how to fix the damn thing. Maybe I should give them a call...

P.S: Oi Andy, when you 2 visiting Autocom?

Not bad service yet...

Ordered some tools from them at a previous occasion and was delivered within 2 days to my door. They have really nice goodies in their catologue:D

Demon Thieves

I've used them many times over the years and they are one of the country's major suppliers to club motorsport in the car world.
Generally not the cheapest, but other than that they have a strong reputation and usually give good service and advice.
Also on the positive side their catalogue has an ever increasing number of completely gratuitous semi clad wimen :D

Tossers!!

Finally given up with them after waiting since 9th September for a set of FF75's driving lights and Micro DE Fogs.

They were in this instance incompetent, totally disinterested with a rather nasty policy of charging you for items they do not have in stock or know when the items are due in.

An example I e-mailed today asking for an update on the delay on the Micro DE Fogs, they had no note of when they last did this so I prompted a call to Hella, Hella apparently couldn't tell them either.

I then requested a refund and then they suggested I call Sales and seek a reccommendation for an altrnative, the arse I spoke to in Performance could not reccommend anything and yet they also sell Cibie, Ring and PIAA!!

I don't know maybe I expect too much these days. :(

If anyone could reccommend a supplier of Hella who might hve stock of these items I'd appreciate the nod.

Yours in the dark still,

Judge

I rang Demon Tweeks to ask if they had any Micro DE Fogs in stock they said they didn't but could order some in for me.
I asked how long.......and the lad said that he would get Hella to send them directly to my home address.
So I paid for them and prepaired myself for a wait.

That was Friday 19/11 at 16.00hrs, today (23/11) at 15.00hrs a nice man from DHL dropped my lights off to me.

Very Impressed with their service;)

Demon Tweek was a cartoon based on a Club sports car driver in the 1970`s in AUTOSPORT.

He had a merchanic with long hair ( Mike Smith ) and a ! on the side of his open face helmet.

Everyone in the car racing world use them for urgent last minute stuff - a bit like screwfix for tradesmen.
The more money your team has - the less you use them - they're mor 'clubman' based than F1 .

They've started expanding into the 'chav' performance cars lately though - perhaps they're a bit too big with the same resources and a bit pushed now ?

Never had a problem with them in the last 7 years though.

must be your phone manner ... ? :D :D

I'm having the same problem as judge - waiting for the Micro DEs and FF50s since 27 October.

To be honest, I had forngotten about the damn things, now I need to go chase them...

I spoke to a lad called John In the performance car Dept on 01978 664466.
Might be worth asking if they could get Hella to send them direct to you.

Mine took 5 days including the week end.

I sent an email chase, noting that Hella had a reputation for slow delivery, and that they already took the pennies from my account. To their credit, they replied within two hours.

This is the important part of the response from them

"Thank you for your e-mail. Sorry for the delay. Your right in saying Hella are slow, as one of the items is still on back order. I have checked with our supplier and he has informed me that they are slowly coming through and should be with Demon Tweeks by the end of this week early next. You should receive this by end of next week.

With regard to payment, all orders placed via the web are charged in full this is outlined in our terms and conditions on the web and again on the payment screen (near the different card issuers logo's)."

I'll wait and see what happens.

I also noticed that when they took the charge from the card they included the delivery charge which still appears on the web order status as "uncharged". It will be interesting to see if that is charged again. I'll be watching.

Hmmm...

Lights turned up yesterday. Looks like Demon Tweeks are "very good if you hassle them for delivery"...

I could be being a bit cynical here, but reading the postings above makes me feel that they might just be a bit bad at holding stock and will deliver what they have to whoever shouts loudest.

Nicely packed though, and they didn't charge again for carriage...

Trotsky,

My lights turned up yesterday too (DE fogs + FF50s) - I ordered them 3 weeks ago and did not get around to hassling them - therefore I guess it is not neccesarily because you called them. The annoying thing is that they were listed as 2-3 days wait on the site which was clearly wrong. Still - got em now and happy !
