Because the weather was lovely and had to get out.

A nice wee troll up the glens. Two hundred miles, never went above 100.

found a nice river on the south side of Loch

Then come across a sign which said road closed 6 miles.
Now, I says to meeself. 'Im on a GS, these signs do not apply to folk like us, so I bashed on ... until I got to here

They were building a bridge ... out of plywood

over this , which I think was the last bridge.

If Ive got these in the right order, you should be looking down a gorge. Doesnt look deep ..does it ? I reckon it was about 70ft. Just about shitin me pants. the rocks were slippy.

Lovely day. Good to get away from you moanin bastids for a while. Was it good for you to get rid of a moanin bastid for a while ?

Thats the True GS Type. It is great. Since I had the GS (white one like the origanal, when will I give up on that)? I have found loads of Fun a few 100ks from home. My new addition will be a Tube containing my Fold Away Fishing Rod. I take a Thermos some 'samies'... It sounds 'strange' but I figure its what I'm into now. Just de-stressing!! Right get away from the... BIGJim. Tassy Aust.

Is it close to Edinample Castle then?
And does that sign of "Road Closed" mean the south Lochearn Road is closed?

If its this castle, yes.
Looks like the road will be closed (only at the end, you can still drive along it if yer goin fishin) for a wee whiley yet.

'Memories'

Lovely photos Den, been there when that tree branch was just a twig---thanks for jogging the old memory bank. I was one of the old-timers, tho' not as old as sum who met for a drum-up on the north side of the loch most Sundays and occasional Wednesday's.

The original members of the gang were Vincent owners and their brew-up spot was on the south shore untill they'd burned all the spare wood on that side. There were sum hardy old boys around, George Ramsay springs to mind, a pioneer of pre-war touring in Europe --- after being reduced to one pin he put a sidecar on his K and still ran out there regularly from Glasgow.
