Denali

Denali benefits from the fear of bikers being seen more than bikers needing more light these days.

A Bike Thing have an easy job selling a good product. Personally would buy from the most cost effective source, which isn't them.

Hi guys,

I'm seriously thinking about buying a Denali suit of kit for my 21 GSA including D4 Lights, SoundBomb Horn, B6 Rear Light and of course a CanSmart to control it all using the Under Beak Light bracket for the lights.

Before I pull the trigger on this expensive upgrade I'd like to hear your experiences good and bad. Issues fixing, light position and very importantly how the D4's are as Day Light Riding lights. I rarely ride at night but really want to improve the bikes visibility ensuring even a blind lady can see me coming ;-)

Thanks in advance,

Tony

I should have also mentioned that I replaced the 40mm bolts, that Denali supplied to fix the lights to their brackets, with Hex head versions. The ones they supply need a Hex Key (Allen Key) to tighten them and I couldn't tighten them enough to stop the lights moving without wrecking the bolt heads! I also fitted a suitably sized washer between the light unit and the bracket it hangs from to make them more secure.

The replacement bolts are Stainless Steel M6 x 40mm A2 Hex Head, plenty of eBay sellers have them if you can't find any locally.

all from Steve @Abikething which you will get first class service and answer any questions you may have.

Denali oozes quality and i wasn't going to go cheap when I have spent so much buying the bike.
but that's me and certainly wouldn't poo poo anybody who decides to go the cheaper route.

I got mine when the black Friday sales was on so saved a fair few quid doing so.

And the sole reason for so many lights is exactly is for all those Dozy Doris drivers out there
and it makes it daylight at night .

Steve installed mine and did a great job. Brilliant service. Had the sound bomb and rear brake light fitted too.

Hi DS, how do you find the S4's. Are they really bright for daytime use? For instance would you say they're far brighter than the OEM Fogs? I drive so rarely at night I'm hovering over whether to buy the D4's or the S4's. The main thing is that dozy car drivers can't fail to notice me in daylight. Your thoughts appreciated.

Regards,

Tony
