Went for a ride today, sorry Andy, I thought he was contacting you, Himself thought I was so you never got to know. We met at LLandovery for the Fat Breakfast and He had set that Bloody PGS thing to go through the deepest mud (read S--t) and narrowest lanes for around 150 miles at one point the field full of cows on the left had Crud a foot deep Oozing under the gate ( he knows I like a Clean Machine). Enjoyed the ride Dennis, spent an Hour De-Crudding the Damned thing!!!!:shoot:
Do it again next year in the Nice Weather:beerjug: :D

Well.... when you go and buy an ADVENTURE what do you expect????.

The first section over Epynt I had never ridden before, but at least I turned right when Bitchin' Betty wanted to go straight on across what appeared to be a ploughed field.:D

Glad you enjoyed it, pity there was only the two of us old farts that turned up in the end. Prpbably too wet for the young uns:dabone

I Don't suppose you have the track log for this little trip that you could email me ;)

Paul,

Attached is the track log of last Sundays run. Strangely it stops somewhere in the Elan Valley??? It also starts just after the West End Cafe in Llandovery from whence we set out, presumably as it took time to aquire the satellites?

So I've also stuck the full (proposed) route on the next post.

If anybody is having problems with the Mapsource files it is prbably becaues you have not downloaded the latest upgrade patch from the Garmin site, version 5.4 is now available for free download.:beerjug:

He did it again!!!!!

 He got me out of bed at 0530hrs today, walk dog, shower, eat one banana, 0 Deg. got the Light Truck out cos it was nearest, has heated everything and a Barn door for a Fairing, and gingerly rode over to Lampeter (Icy!!) to meet up with Andy Leett (freezing in his BWM Hot Vest) and off to Llandovery for Brekky. ( Those Pansies from West Mids have got the right idea, 1000 Hr start when we've Warmed up the roads
;) )
Three GS's a Honda 500 with fairing and me KLT set off over mountain passes, Hairpin wotsits, Minus 15 Deg C, Ice, frozen streams across the sheep tracks, a steep downhill and right hand Dip at the bottom at about 40 MPH, patch of ice, and I dive into the water/ice filled ditch :shoot: I just had time to mess me pants and Bertha, covered in the contents of the ditch, regained her composure and to Andy's amazement, in his mirror image, splashed back onto near Terra Firma.
So you see West Mids, and the BHO, next time get up early and join in the 'Fun' :D
Dennis has one planned for Boxing day, be afraid! be very afraid:cool:

Enjoyed the day out, picked up some trails on the way home, then spent the next hour cleaning the bike!
Many thanks for a great day out.

Steve G

Thanks for the company guys! a most enjoyable run if a little on the cold side.

Only got back from Essex late yesterday afternoon on an ER5. Must have been one of the coldest rides I have ever had in my life. No heated grips:mad: No sticky out cylinderheads:mad: No screen:mad: Boy will I be glad to get back aboard Beaky:D

Rob, the boxing day run is not fully confirmed, I havn't had SWMBO to sign my pass yet. But I'm trying (some would say very trying:( )

Glad to hear Steve enjoyed the run, always good to meet new faces, and of course mustn't forget to mention Blue Meanie who we met briefly at Sennybridge garage.

Hopefully get another run prior to Crimble, and if you read this Campbell, it is the West End cafe at LLANDOVERY where we meet NOT Carmarthen:D
