Sadly having to bail out on this as have just had a work trip scheduled in that week and won't get back to UK in time

I've never seen The Sun Inn so empty

Don't worry, it was early evening. The place was packed 4pm to about 6.30pm when it went all quiet for an hour, then very busy again later in the evening
I now find myself unable to attend this event, much to my annoyance but sometime, the dreaded job has to take priority....
As such, I have a double room booked for three nights at the Stone Close Tea Rooms & B&B from Friday night 29th May to Monday morning (1st June) if someone would like to take over my booking? I have paid a £60 deposit to secure the room which I would like back please?

Micky and JB, I'm really sorry but Paula and I aren't going to make this one. I've been waiting for the follow up to my second cataract operation which was today. I was really hoping I'd have good news and could get my licence back However the waiting continues. I now have a retinal membrane swelling in my left eye. Sight worse than it was five weeks ago just after the operation. Now I have to undergo a angiogram to discover if I have local bleeding or it is more widespread. If the latter is true then it's game over. If the former then laser treatment and injections of eylea (which is waiting fro NICE approval) may give me my sight back. I know which outcome I'd prefer. I'd have loved to have come but it's a massive ask for Paula to drive our wobblybox all that way when she has hardly evr driven it. It would also hurt to see everyone ride off into the wonderful countryside you live it without us being able to join you on a bike.
On top of all this the insurance companies appointed contractor has made a right royal fuck up on renovating our old farmhouse following the Somerset floods of early last year. We are no further forward. They have made such a bad job the house is now in a worse mess than when the waters retreated and we are unlikely to get our home back until next year now.
