Dent 2016 ..... Friday 20th - Sunday 22nd May

I'm really looking forward to next weekend:beerjug: and meeting some of the degenerates that are on here.Oh, but I guess I'm one of them...
:blast :D

:beerjug::beer::jager:friday

Beth&Chris have secured lodgings and will also be attending. See you Friday eve and for those with a room in the George & Dragon take your ear plugs as apparently I snore a bit.

It's Chris posting just in case anyone was wondering...

Getting better by the minute :thumby:

:beerjug:

se you Sat. Sorry to say it looks like Hugo has been double booked. I am still disputing this fact with my wife, so he may make an appearance or not..

Weather's looking a bit dodgy .....

Im hoping my warm dry B&B room doesn't face out onto the wet campsite making me monitor everyone else in their wet soggy tents? I hope not, as that would spoil my view :green gri

As Mr Bear will be in the vicinity of the campsite I have done some research on camping in Bear country

http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/the-bear-basics-of-camping.1143014/

The general advice appears to be not to store food near your tent unless you want to be woken by a bear rummaging through your tent
As our UKGSER Bear is particularly fond of sandwiches these should definitely not be kept near the tent. To play it safe I shall store my food near Giles's tent :D

I'm going up there on Tuesday to check out the beer ... see y'all there :thumb

Got some more coasters to pick up, stickers'n decals in hand :D

This year we have a mix of 'ordinary but very special' stickers, and some really really special 3D ones. All allocated on a first come first served basis :thumby:

i-mcDwbd8-L.jpg

Now there's no charge for these, none at all, and we have some pretty special raffle prizes (list to follow) so please be generous with your purchase of raffle tickets. Last year we raised £502.00 for the Great North Air Ambulance Service so let's be beating that this year ...

... or else :hammer

:beerjug:

Camping ...

For those camping this is what Margaret should be charging ... I'll be reminding her :)

I've tried to simplify the camping charges, but Margaret is hard work to pin down

Per person £9.00 per night
Children £2.50 per night
Electric £3.00 per night
Dogs £1.00 per night
Awning £3.00 per night

Report to reception on arrival, tell them you are on this great Dent Event. You pay the camps site not me.

I'll be in my VW Camper with a BMW 'Ride It Like You Stole It Flag' ... come collect your sticker and coaster :D

Please can I have one of the special backwards green ones?:D

Raffle prizes ...

Raffle prizes to date ... not in any particular order

1) Pair of Custom molded earplugs (Micky)
2) Dinner for two at Peppercorns (Simon ‘Haditlowered’)
3) Yellow waterproof 31L Roll Bag (Touratech GB)
4) Yellow small waterproof Ortleib bag 3.5L (Touratech GB)
5) Multifunction Buff (Touratech GB)
6) Pair black Hotel Forsthaus mugs (Hotel Forsthaus DE)
7) Pair Dent Event 2016 mugs (Micky)
8) Three Ordnance Survey ‘Landranger’ maps of the area (Bilko)
9) Dent Event 2016 baseball cap (Your Choice Embroidery)
10) Real and genuine home made fruit cake (Gracie)
11) BMW Rallye Teddy (Rainbow Motorcycles)
12) ‘Elephant’ Tank Bag 1200? (Wunderlich DE)
13) ‘Forcefield’ CE2 level back protector for Rukka (Infinity Motorcycles)
14) Bottle of Persie Damson Gin (gerarddwatts)
15) Bottle of Jaegermeister (Bungle ... err sorry, Bungy)

The prizes being supplied by Simon 'Haditlowered' at his Peppercorns Restaurant, and earplugs by myself, can't be redeemed for cash. They are offered in the true spirit of UKGSer for this event, and while the winners can maybe swap their win with another fellow Tosser at the event, we don't want to see them being offered at discount on eBay

The Infinity supplied back protector for a Rukka jacket that Timaloy won at last years event, handed back in by Bill for this years event, but knowing we are getting another one from Infinity, sold to Mr Smooth. Sao that's £35.00 head start for The Great North Air Ambulance :thumby:

The tank bag offered by Wunderlich DE, believed to be for a 1200GS, I'm trying to find out. I did ask for none model specific prizes

Sponsors …

Mark at Moto Graffix ... Dent 2016 Decals
Richard at Wybone ... Dent 2016 Coasters

I believe JB has some more raffle prizes to add. I'm to visit Barrie Robson's on Tuesday on my way north, so hopefully another prize from him :thumb

:beerjug:

Do we all get one of those??:bounce1:bounce1

:beerjug:

Hopefully there's a couple of stickers and one coaster for each 'unit' :thumby:

Any stickers left will be distributed the Sunday morning :beerjug:

Please can I have one of the special backwards green ones?:D

Indeed my dear, but please be aware that the special none scratch silicone 'feet' are on the top

:beerjug:

You can add a bottle of Jagermeister to the raffle list as well. It is well travelled as it came back with me from Austria.
