Hi Guys, just arrived I’ve chosen a pitch by the raised beds in case I get hungry in the night.
As you will see later I’ve brought out my Blacks of Greenock - “Senior Wren” compact two person abode which I’ve had 46 years, went up a treat nothing missing all good. Few bits of gaffer tape and some bent pegs but it will be fine tonight.
I’ve brought along Tilly our border collie and have managed to grab a few pints of some sort of Marsh beer - for clarity it’s not a dodgy home brew it is brewed on Romney Marsh and a village worthy is currently purchasing a barrel a week from the brewery and its up for grabs for a small donation. So 4 Litres of Marsh something or other for £10 - I’m in.
Not sure if Margaret will come this far down into Kent so I’ll sort my contribution to the air ambulance via the link.
Sorry to be domestic, and I hope you understand-but it looks like the early potatoes caught the frost last night, guess they will recover. I did cover the border plants and they are ok.
You would thing folk would respect the weekend break - I’ve just been interrupted by a bloke with a borehole as his only water supply. Had it two years and no problem, now it isn’t working and he has no water. Can I come and fix it ? I’ve suggested he sends me some photographs of it so I know what he has. It won’t fix it, but he will feel that he’s doing something and also have something to tell his wife.
The journey here wasn’t too bad, went the long way and have to admit I used the Honda. Had an issue with 410 L of red diesel that’s blocking the bridle way but that can wait until tomorrow.
Anyway I’m having fish and chips shortly - actually probably Salmon and mashed potatoes if I’m honest and my 21 year old boy gets cooking. He offered me some camping food sachets “boil in the bag” type stuff that we got in Pitlochry. I’ll go with the Salmon.
I’ll let you know how the the guy without the bore hole gets along - maybe even have some pictures if Harold can operate the camera on his phone.
Neighbours boy is playing his guitar- I’d like to say it’s nice ... but can’t.
Feel free to pop over for a chat if your close by - socially distancing of course, don’t know if Giles or Bounce are along this weekend.
See you all later
