Dent!!Oops!

Hi zdaveuk, Have a word with Chris at Motoraddconcepts in Dalkeith! I bought an old 22 litre 1150 tank complete with all internals from ukgser it was completely 'mullered' with at least eight dents and a major one in the front o/s lobe! I bought it cos it was cheap and I only wanted the filler assembly, but when I opened the box it came in I thought mmm, not as bad as all that and it would do for offroading and 'farm' use instead of the big shiny dentless 30 litre one! It's now back complete with a beak I got off a mate for nothing and is in gleaming ADV SE white, doesn't look like the same tank!! So hopefully yours should repair reasonably well! :thumb

Are the tanks double skinned? If not ring your local dent master, the local car dealers will use them. They use various bars etc to push out dents but clearly there is a limit to what they can do. I worked in the body repair business a few years ago and was impressed with the job they did.

Even if its double skinned it may be worth them looking at it as they will often have to get to very awkward areas on cars.

Just a suggestion. :thumb

a body shop can weld little studs to the tank, then attach a slide hammer to pull out the dents
