Its great fun, and the GS performs very well. I have had the chance to ride my friends CRF450r that day and while there is a obvious difference in weight, the 450 felt gutless after riding the gs. I can only imagine what the HP2 would be like the ride.
I had to increase the preload on the front and rear suspension to handle the jumps, and have to reduce tire pressure to 4 psi front and rear. Never had a wheel come off a rim!!
As far as all the gear, etc. First of all the sand is soft. What I am wearing is protection enough, plus its is hot and the last thing you wanna do is load yourself up with gear. You would last more than 30mins out there...its very tiring! I've crashed a million time out there and I have never been hurt, not a single bruise or graze.
Photographer is a reall good mate of mine. He did a really good job!
I'm sure some of you have seen these before, but these photo's were taken a couple of months ago on another ride out.
